Joshua Omvig 22, Grundy
Center, IA. Gunshot, 12/22/2005. Rep. Boswell, a Vietnam veteran, last month
proposed a new suicide-prevention program for veterans. The “Joshua Omvig
Veterans Suicide Prevention Act,” H.R. 5771, now has 77 sponsors in
Congress. It would set up a VA program to screen and monitor veterans for
suicide risk factors. Nearly one of every five returning Iraq veterans
reported a mental-health problem, according to an Army study published in
March. And nearly one in 10 was diagnosed with Post-traumatic Stress
Disorder. http://www.veteransforamerica.org/index.cfm/page/Article/ID/7672

Joshua Omvig. We lost our Josh, an Iraqi War Vet, US Army Reserves to PTSD
just 8 weeks ago. Please help us spread the word about this killer disease!
Statistics are now showing that up to 50% of our Vets are returning from
Iraq with some degree of PTSD. This is an epidemic the Government is trying
to hide under the rug because the VA is not equipped to handle this huge
number, nor do they have the funding to do so! HELP US, spread the word and
send Josh's site (with his story, research/studies/etc) to EVERYONE you
know, post it on the main page of your blogs, GET THE AMERICAN PUBLIC to
take notice! Here is Josh's site:

Jason Pirro Last year, supposedly hanged himself at least that is the “Official” report from the Marine Corps. The biggest problem with that is simply this: less than one hour before Jason was found hanged in a bathroom stall he had breakfast with his friends in the mess hall; all of whom have stated essentially the following: “Jason was in very high spirits as he was getting discharge in a couple of days. He would be home when his wife had their second child…he was elated at going home finally.” Less than an hour later Jason was found hanged and the Marine Corps wrote off his death as a “suicide.” The Marine Corps completely ignored the fact that for months while awaiting his “discharge” Jason had been subject to a string of brutal hazing at the base. http://jack-dalton.blogspot.com/2005/06/suicides-in-ranks-something-is_19.html
