Sgt. 1st Class Jeffrey M. Radamorales, 32, of Naranjito, Puerto Rico. The Department of Defense announced the death of three soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.  They died June 29, 2008 in Khosrow-E Sofla, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained when their vehicle rolled into a canal.  They were assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.  This incident is under investigation.

Lance Cpl. Mourad Ragimov, 20, of San Diego, California.  Ragimov died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.

Lance Cpl. Rhonald D. Rairdan, 20, of San Antonio, Texas.  Rairdan died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.

Lance Cpl. Angel R. Ramirez, 28, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Feb. 21, 2007 at Marine Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif., after being medically evacuated following a non-hostile incident in Al Qaim, Iraq, on Dec. 21, 2006. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, Calif.  The incident is currently under investigation.  The announcement surrounding the death of this Marine was delayed due to an administrative adjustment to the Marine's original death classification.

Lance Cpl. Hector Ramos, 20, of Aurora, Illinois.  Ramos died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.

Spc. David J. Ramsey 27, 47th Combat Support Hospital, 62nd Medical Brigade Tacoma, Washington Medically evacuated from Iraq on August 24 and died from a non-combat related incident on September 7, 2006, in Spanaway, Washington. The incident is under investigation.

Airman 1st Class Jacob I. Ramsey, 20, of Hesperia, Calif., died April 10, 2009 of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident in Kabul Afghanistan.  He was assigned to the 712th Air Support Operations Squadron, Fort Hood, Texas.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Pfc. Joshua A. Ramsey 19, Headquarters Detachment,  Defiance, Ohio.  Died of non-combat related injuries in Baghdad, Iraq, on on December 12, 2004.  Ramsey was assigned to the 95th Military Police Battalion, Mannheim, Germany.

Staff Sgt. Jose C. Rangel 43, 1106th Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot, California Army National Guard Fresno, California Died in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, of non-combat related injuries on January 23, 2005.

Sgt. Sameer A. M. Rateb, 22, of Absecon, N.J., died May 6 at Forward Operating Base Summerall in Bayji, Iraq, from injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident.  His death is under investigation.  Rateb was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

Lt. Brandon Ratliff, 32, of Columbus, OH, who had served in Afgahnistan died from a self-inflicted gunshot on March 19, 2004 after returning to the US.

Capt. Gregory A. Ratzlaff 36, Medium Helicopter Squadron 166, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Olympia, Washington Died of a non-hostile gunshot wound at Forward Operating Base Duke near Najaf, Iraq, on August 3, 2004.

Spc. Omead H. Razani, 19, of Los Angeles, Calif., died Aug. 27 2004 in Habbaniyah, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries. Razani was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Greaves, Korea. The incident is under investigation.

Saxxon Rech 20, July 28, 2005—Marine veteran Saxxon Rech, 20, given an early honorable discharge from the service in February, killed girlfriend Renee DiLorenzo, 18. DiLorenzo, who'd recently enlisted in the Marines, was shot in the back at Rech's family home in Everson, Whatcom County; Rech then turned the shotgun on himself. A motive is unknown. Rech joined the Marine Corps in November 2003, and officials are so far uncertain why he was discharged after just 16 months, or whether he saw combat in Iraq, where Marines from his regiment have been killed in action.

Pfc. Christopher J. Reed, 20, of Craigmont, Idaho.  Four members of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California died July 10, 2004 due to a non-combat related vehicle accident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Sgt. 1st Class Gerard M. Reed, 40, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., died June 11, 2008 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to the 86th Combat Support Hospital, Fort Campbell, Ky.  This incident is under investigation.

Gunnery Sgt. Edward T. Reeder 32, Headquarters and Service Battalion, 1st Force Service Support Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Camp Verde, Arizona Died in an non-combat related vehicle incident in Anbar province, Iraq, on August 21, 2004.

Sgt. Jose Regalado, 23, of Los Angeles.  He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.  Regalado died Nov. 12 in Mosul, Iraq, when an Iraqi Army soldier wearing a uniform approached them and opened fire.   The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Pfc. Robert K. L. Repkie, 20, of Knoxville, Tenn., died June 24, 2010 at Forward Operating Base Farah, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 782nd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.  Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.

Sgt. Luis R. Reyes, 26, of Aurora, Colo., died en route to Ali Al Salem, Kuwait, on Nov. 18, 2005 when the bus in which he was riding rolled over. Reyes was assigned to the Army National Guard's 947th Engineer Company, Durango, Colo.  The incident is under investigation

Staff Sgt. Stanley B. Reynolds, 37, of Rock, W. Va. The Department of Defense announced today the death of five soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died Aug. 14, 2007 in Al Taqqadum, Iraq, of injuries suffered when their helicopter crashed. They were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment, Task Force 49, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The incident is under investigation.

Lance Cpl. Matthew G. Reza, 27, of Austin, Texas, was killed May 31, 2009 as a result of a non-hostile incident in Khandahar province, Afghanistan.  He was assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 31, Marine Aircraft Group 31, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S. C.  The incident is currently under investigation.

Jessica Rich 23, Colorado, Car 1/16/2007 Jessica Rich, 24, who served in the Army Reserve, was killed at 10:25 p.m. Thursday when her 1996 Volkswagen Jetta smashed head-on into a 2003 Chevy Suburban. Four people in the Suburban were taken to Colorado Springs hospitals, although none of their injuries was life-threatening. They were on their way from Hobbs, N.M., to Denver.

Staff Sgt. William D. Richardson, 30, of Houston, Texas, died Nov. 30, 2005 of wounds sustained from a non-hostile vehicle accident near Al Taqaddum, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron-372, Marine Wing Support Group-37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Camp Pendleton, Calif. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). The accident is currently under investigation.

Spc. David L. Rice, 22, of Sioux City, Iowa.  Rice died in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, when his HMMWV rolled over. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on April 26, 2005.

Pvt. Chad Ritchie, 21, of Medford, January 31, 2003 Salem, OR - The Oregon Military Department today announced that , died of apparently self-inflicted wounds. Ritchie, in collaboration with fellow National Guard members, Aaron Andrew St. James, 25, and Andrew Lee Patterson, 23, had apparently been involved in a recent string of violent criminal acts in the Medford area. All of the soldiers were assigned as members of the 1st Battalion, 186th Infantry, Oregon Army National Guard. They had recently returned from the battalion’s assignment in Sinai, Egypt, as peacekeepers along the Egyptian-Israeli border. Ritchie and Patterson had been sent home early from Sinai due to disciplinary action.

Pfc. Daniel J. Rivera, 22, of Rochester, N.Y., died Oct. 18, 2009 in Mosul, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.  He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Staff Sgt. Milton Rivera-Vargas 55, 1st Battalion, 296th Infantry Regiment, Puerto Rico Army National Guard Boqueron, Puerto Rico Died of a non-combat related cause while on guard duty in Kalsu, Iraq, on December 8, 2005 A Puerto Rican soldier who died in Iraq from a heart attack was buried Saturday in this southwestern town.  He was 55. Rivera's seven children, ranging from seven to 34 years old, received his Bronze Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and a medal for his service in Iraq, during a ceremony at the burial. Rivera, a retired government worker, had returned to Iraq four months ago as a volunteer. He also served there in 2003. Relatives and friends said they weren't aware that he had a heart problem. Spc. Frank K. Rivers, Jr., 23, of Woodbridge, Virginia, died April 14, 2004 in Mosul, Iraq, when he collapsed during physical training. Rivers was assigned to the Army's 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Washington.

Pfc. Willington M. Rhoads, 23, of Las Vegas, Nev., died July 16, 2008 in Bagram, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered from a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to the 173rd Brigade Support Battalion (Airborne), Vicenza, Italy.  The incident is under investigation.

Staff Sgt. Timothy J. Roark 29, 4th Battalion, 123rd Aviation Regiment Houston, Texas.  Died in Balad, Iraq, of a non-combat related injury on October 2, 2005.  Roark was assigned to the Army's 4th Battalion, 123rd Aviation Regiment, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Staff Sgt. William T. Robbins 31 Headquarters Company, 39th Infantry Brigade, Arkansas Army National Guard North Little Rock, Arkansas Died of non-combat related injuries in Taji, Iraq, on February 10, 2005.   He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 39th Infantry Brigade, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Cpl. Allen C. Roberts, 21, of Arcola, Ill., died Nov. 28, 2007 from a vehicle accident near Al Asad, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Attack Squadron 214, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz.

Spc. Robert D. Roberts, 21, of Winter Park, Fla., was killed on Nov. 22, 2003 in Baghdad, Iraq. Roberts died of injuries sustained when a tank collided with his vehicle. Roberts was assigned to A Troop, 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Division, based in Armstrong Barracks, Germany. The incident is under investigation

Robinson, 20, of Detroit, Mich., died March 19, 2008 in Nawa, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when the vehicle he was repairing collapsed.  He was assigned to the 782nd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.  The incident is under investigation.

Lt. Col. Michael A. Robinson, 42, of Sylacauga, Ala., died June 1, 2007 in Kabul from non-combat related causes, the military said in a statement. No further details about this death were released, and officials said his death was under investigation.  Robinson was based at Camp Lejeune, where he worked in the mobilization office of Marine Corps Installations East. Officials at Camp Lejeune said they did not have details about Robinson's death.  Robinson joined the Marines in 1987 and was trained as a field artillery officer. He was promoted to his current rank in may 2005 in the Marine Corps reserves. He had spent more than 12 years on active duty and was mobilized in April, according to officials at Camp Lejeune.

Lt. Cmdr. Thomas L. Robinson 38, Executive officer, guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Hamilton Kingston, Massachusetts Robinson was found dead in his stateroom of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound while the destroyer was making a port call in Bahrain on October 23, 2002.

Spc. Lizbeth Robles, 31, of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.  Robles died at the 228th Command Support Hospital in Tikirt, Iraq, from injuries sustained in a military vehicle accident that occurred February 28 in Bayji, Iraq. She was assigned to 360th Transportation Company, 68th Corps Support Battalion, 43rd Area Support Group, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on March 1, 2005.

Spc. Dominic N. Rodriguez, 23, of Klamath Falls, Oregon, died June 22, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. His death is under investigation.  Rodriguez was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.  Source: DOD

Spc. Jeremy Roebuck, 23, of Splendora, Texas, died from injuries after a January 28, 2009 automobile accident near Fort Bragg, North Carolina.The paratrooper was an assistant team leader with 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, according to a news release issued by the military.  A relative confirmed that he was one of the people to sign an August 19, 2007, opinion article in The New York Times that called the prospects of U.S. success in Iraq "far-fetched" and said the progress being reported was offset by failures elsewhere.

Lance Cpl. Omar G. Roebuck, 23, of Moreno Valley, Calif., died Dec. 22, 2009 as a result of a non-hostile incident in Helmand province, Afghanistan.  He was assigned to2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Staff Sgt. Alan L. Rogers 49, Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 211th Aviation Regiment, Utah Army National Guard Kearns, Utah.  Died of non-combat related injuries in Bagram, Afghanistan, on September 29, 2004. 

Pfc. Michael A. Rogers, 23, of White Sulphur Springs, Mont., died Nov. 27, 2009, at Forward Operating Base Hammer, east of Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to the 210th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Sgt. John M. Rogers, 26, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died June 27, 2010 at Forward Operating Base Blessing, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.

A1C Lloyd Garfield Rosenleaf, USAF, assigned to 32nd Fighter Squadron, Soesterberg Air Base, The Netherlands on October 12, 1992; "death due to asphyxia induced self-inflicted hanging."  The family disputes the cause of death on the basis of insufficient investigation.

Sgt. Kenneth G. Ross, 24, of Peoria, Arizona. Ross was assigned to the Army's 7th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, Giebelstadt, Germany.  All five personnel aboard a CH-47 transport helicopter were killed when it crashed southwest of Deh Chopan, Afghanistan, on September 25, 2005. Officials reported that the aircraft was returning from a mission in support of an ongoing operation at the time of the crash. There were no reports of enemy involvement in the crash.  The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Staff Sgt. Christopher Michael Roulund, 27, proud U.S. Army Ranger, assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment, died on Aug. 13, 2008, while training to protect his country he loved so well. He died from injuries he suffered during a military free-fall training exercise at the Parachute Testing and Training Facility near Marana, Arizona.

Chief Warrant Officer Brady J. Rudolf, 37, of Oklahoma City, who was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 149th Aviation, 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, Oklahoma National Guard, Lexington, Oklahoma died Sept. 18, 2008 when the CH-47 Chinook helicopter he was in went down in the vicinity of Tallil, Iraq. The incident is under investigation.

Sgt. Lorenzo Ponce Ruiz, 26, of El Paso, Texas.  Ruiz died in Balad, Iraq when his military vehicle collided with a civilian vehicle and overturned. He was assigned to the 24th Transportation Company, 541st Maintenance Battalion, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on October 12, 2005.

Sgt Patrick S. Rust - 10th Mountain Division - Special Troops Battalion - Fort Drum, New York was reported missing March 16, 2007. Patrick had served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan only to return home and disappear. Patrick was slated to report to Fort Lewis, Washington for a higher level of education and training on his quest for his Army career. Patrick was last seen leaving a bar approx. 12:30 A.M. and his remains were discovered six months to the day, four and one half miles from the bar, in a hay field. The remains were found when a farmer cutting his field hit them with his combine. To date, no one has been found responsible for his demise.

Spc. Lukasz Saczek, 23, died as a result of a non-combat-related injury while serving in the Nangarhar Province of Afghanistan with Company D, 1st Battalion, 178th Infantry, an official said.  May 10, 2009.

Spc. Sergio A. Mercedes Saez, 23, of New York, N.Y., died in Baghdad, Iraq on Feb. 5, 2006, when the HMMWV in which he was riding accidentally rolled over into a canal. Mercedes Saez was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Spc. Justin A. Saint, 22, of Albertville, Ala., died Oct. 15, 2008 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to the Special Troops Battalion, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, N.C.  The incident is under investigation.

Lance Cpl. Gael Saintvil, 24, of Orange, Florida.  Saintvil died when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Died on January 26, 2005.

Cpl. Rudy Salas, 20, of Baldwin Park, California, died May 20, 2004 due to a non-combat related vehicle accident in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Salas was assigned to the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

Spc. Adriana N. Salem, 21, of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.  Salem died in Remagen, Iraq when her military vehicle rolled over. She was assigned to the 3rd Forward Support Battalion, Division Support Command, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on March 4, 2005.

Chief Warrant Officer Richard M. Salter, 44, of Cypress, Texas. Died in Baghdad, Iraq on Dec. 26, 2005 when his Apache helicopter collided with another military aircraft in mid-air and then crashed. Both soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment, Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. The incident is under investigation.

Spc. Marko M. Samson, 30, of Columbus, Ohio, died May 31, 2009 in Tikrit, Iraq, of injuries suffered from a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to the 277th Aviation Support Battalion, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Lance Cpl. Efrain Sanchez Jr. 26, Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force Port Chester, New York Died in a non-hostile incident at Camp Blue Diamond, in Ramadi, Iraq, on July 17, 2005.

Staff Sgt. Luis M. Melendez Sanchez, 33, of Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Sanchez was assigned to the 1st Communications Squadron, Langley Air Force Base, Va. WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2006 The Defense Department announced the names of eight Marines and two airmen killed in a Feb. 17, 2006 helicopter crash while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.  All 10 died when two CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopters crashed into the Gulf of Aden near Ras Siyyan, northern Djibouti, while flying a training mission in the Godoria Range area, officials reported. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Staff Sgt. Charles R. Sanders, Jr., 29, of Charleston, Missouri.  Sanders in Ghazni, Afghanistan, when the CH-47 helicopter he was on crashed. He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, 12th Aviation Brigade, Giebelstadt, Germany.

Pvt. Justin T. Sanders, 22, of Watson, La., died Aug. 29, 2007 in Taji, Iraq, in a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 2d Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Lance Cpl. Daniel J. Santee, 21, of Mission Viejo, Calif., died April 14, 2007, from a non-hostile vehicle accident in Al Anbar province, Iraq. Santee was assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Sgt. Anibal Santiago, 37, of Belvidere, Ill., died July 18, 2010 in Bagram, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained July 17, 2010 in a non-combat related incident in Kwowst, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Ga.

Chief Warrant Officer Isaias E. Santos, 28, of Ancon, Panama. Died in Baghdad, Iraq on Dec. 26, 2005 when his Apache helicopter collided with another military aircraft in mid-air and then crashed. Both soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment, Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. The incident is under investigation.

Sgt. Paul A. Saylor, 21, of Norcross, Georgia. Three members of the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 108th Armor Regiment, Calhoun, Georgia died on August 15, 2005, in Al Mahmudiyah, Iraq, when their HMMWV accidentally rolled over into a canal.

Pfc. Matthew Scarano, 21, was found dead in his bunk on March 19, 2006, of an apparent overdose of painkillers.  He had been in Fort Sill's Physical Training and Rehabilitation Program in the barracks of Bravo Battery 95th, Fort Sill, Oklahoma for over a year.

Army Sgt. Kenneth J. Schall, 22, of Peoria, Arizona.  Schall died in Yusafiyah, Iraq, when the HMMWV in which he was riding was involved in an accident. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 70th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died on May 22, 2005.

Jason was pulled off missions with his fellow soldiers, assigned menial jobs around the barracks and given his gun back. He used the weapon three weeks later to become the 1,797th U.S. military fatality of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Spc. Ronald A. Schmidt, 18, of Newton, Kan., died Aug. 3, 2008 in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Ashraf, Iraq, on Aug. 2. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 161st Field Artillery, Kansas Army National Guard, Kingman, Kan.   The incident is under investigation.

Spc. Matthew E. Schneider 23, 141st Signal Battalion, 1st Armored Division Gorham, New Hampshire Died of a non-combat related cause in Ramadi, Iraq, on August 28, 2006. The incident is under investigation.

Pfc. Sean M. Schneider, 22, of Janesville, Wisconsin, died March 29, 2004 as the result of a vehicle accident near Baghdad. Schneider was assigned to the 115th Forward Support Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas.

Seaman Apprentice Shayna Ann Schnell, 19, of Tell City, Ind., died as a result of injuries suffered from a vehicle accident. Schnell was serving as a master-at-arms assigned to Naval Security Force Bahrain, Jebel Ali Detachment, United Arab Emirates.  Her death was announced on October 5, 2007.

Cpl. Dustin H. Schrage, 20, of Brevard, Fla., was found deceased on May 6, 2003 in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Cause of death is under investigation. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, at Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Chief Warrant Officer Earl R. Scott III, 24, of Jacksonville, Florida.  Died on November 8, 2009 in Tikrit, Iraq, of injuries sustained when their OH-58D helicopter crashed.  He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment, 25th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.  The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.

Spc. Donald James Scott Jr., 28, of Boyceville, Wisconsin was found dead on July 31, 2008 on a training area on Fort Hood.  Scott joined the Army November 1999 and was assigned to the 582nd Medical Logistics Company, 61st Multifunctional Medical Battalion, 1st Medical Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), since December 2005 where he served as a Biomedical Equipment Specialist.  Specialist Scott deployed in support of Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom in 2003.  Specialist Donald Scott’s awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon.  The incident remained under investigation.

Jeremy Seeley 28, KY, Poisoning 1/13/2004. The Jeremy Seeley who went off to war was a man his grandfather remembers as tender-hearted. When Specialist Seeley returned from Iraq, he could not bring himself to tell his mother he was home, or even to hear her voice, leaving two disjointed messages on her answering machine but no contact number. On January 13 he walked out of the 101st Airborne base at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, checked into a motel room, and put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Master-at-Arms Seaman Apprentice Joshua D. Seitz, 19, of Pensacola, Fla., died Dec. 25, 2008 in Manama, Bahrain.  He was assigned to Naval Security Force, Naval Support Activity Bahrain.  Cause of death is under investigation.

Staff Sgt. Todd W. Selge, 25, of Burnsville, Minnesota, died on September 3, 2009 in Baqubab, Iraq of injuries sustained during a vehicle roll-over. He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington.

Spc. Dennis L. Sellen Jr., 20, Newhall; killed in gun accident in Iraq But then the family got word that Sellen had died of non-combat related injuries Feb. 11(2007) in Umm al Qasr, near the Kuwaiti border. An investigation is underway into his death, said Lt. Theresa Chrystal, a National Guard spokeswoman. Pfc. Stephen C. Serrano, 20, of El Dorado, was found dead, dressed in desert fatigues and military boots near the end of Calle Cordillera in San Clemente on May 15, 2008. A hiker found the Marine lying face down on a ditch with a gunshot wound to the chest.  Two fellow Marines are believed to have been involved in the shooting.

Pfc. Alvaro R. Regalado Sessarego, 37, of Virginia Beach, Va., died May 30, 2010 at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, of injuries sustained April 18 from a non-combat related incident at Dahuk, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas. News reports say that Sessarego died from burns sustained in an accidental fire in a mess hall.

Sgt. 1st Class Daniel R. Sexton, 53, of Wentzville, Mo., died Sept. 10, 2008 at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to the 164th Military Police Company, Fort Richardson, Alaska.  The incident is under investigation.

1st Lt. Neale M. Shank, 25, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Mar. 31 in Baghdad, Iraq, from a non-combat related incident. His death is under investigation. Shank was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.

Sgt. 1st Class Michael P. Shannon, 52, of Canadensis, Pa., died Jan. 17, 2010 in Kabul, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to Headquarters, 7th Army and U.S. Army Europe, Heidelberg, Germany.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Pfc. David Sharrett, 27, of Oakton, Va., was "misidentified" by 1stLt. Timothy Hanson as an enemy gunman during a botched night raid Jan. 16, 2008, against an Al Qaeda in Iraq stronghold north of Baghdad, the Army belatedly acknowledged.  Sharrett bled to death as his buddies searched frantically for him for 25 minutes after the firefight ended.  Friendly fire.

Sgt. 1st Class Christopher D. Shaw, 37, of Markham, Ill. died Sept. 29, 2009 in Jolo Island, the Philippines, from the detonation of an improvised-explosive device. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group, Fort Lewis, Wash. and was on a non-combat mission.  The incident is under investigation.

Sgt. Daniel J. Shaw, 23, of West Seneca, N.Y., died Nov. 5, 2007 in Taji, Iraq.  His death is under investigation.  Shaw was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.

Spc. Jordan M. Shay, 22, of Salisbury, Massachusetts, died on September 3, 2009 in Baqubab, Iraq of injuries sustained during a vehicle roll-over. He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington.

Spc. Corey M. Shea, 21, of Mansfield, Mass.  He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.  Shea died Nov. 12 in Mosul, Iraq, when an Iraqi Army soldier wearing a uniform approached them and opened fire.   The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Cpl. Kurt S. Shea, 21, of Frederick, Md., died May 10, 2010 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Lt. Col. Anthony L. Sherman 43, 304th Civil Affairs Brigade, Army Reserves Pottstown, Pennsylvania Found unconscious in his living quarters and died after cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and other attempts to revive him were unsuccessful on August 27, 2003, in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

Sgt. Benjamin W. Sherman, 21, of Plymouth, Mass., has been identified as having been killed while participating in the Nov. 4, 2009 resupply mission in Bala Murghab, Afghanistan.  According to his family, he was swept away after jumping into a river to help another soldier;

Pfc. Stephen Sherwood 35, Fort Collins, CO. Gunshot. 8/1/2005 -- A Colorado soldier who just returned from duty in Iraq fatally shot his wife and then himself, according to a Fort Carson spokesman. Pfc. Stephen S. Sherwood, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, was with his wife at their home near Fort Collins when the shooting occurred Wednesday afternoon. Sgt. Randolph A. Sigley, 28, of Richmond, Ky., died April 18, 2010 in Bagram, Afghanistan. The circumstances of his death are under investigation. He was assigned to the 2123rd Transportation Company, Richmond, Ky.

Army Sgt. Alfred B. Siler, 33, of Duff, Tennessee.  Siler died in Tuz, Iraq, when his HMMWV hit another vehicle. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's Support Squadron, 278th Regimental Combat Team, Knoxville, Tennessee. Died on May 25, 2005.

Spc. Channing G. Singletary 30, 122nd Support Center, Georgia Army National Guard Sylvester, Georgia Died from a non-combat-related cause in Baghdad, Iraq, on June 23, 2006

Army SPC Katherine P. Singleton, 25, of Pensacola, Florida. Died on 19th January 2006 at Ft. Bragg, N.C. while attached to HHC Training Support Bn.  The original death certificate, signed & filed five days later, listed the cause of death as 'pending' further investigation. It claimed that an autopsy had already been performed & its findings were available prior to completion of the preliminary death certificate. In reality, the autopsy report was not actually signed off  until four months later - the same date as the Supplemental Report of Cause of Death Certificate was issued which subsequently listed the cause of death as 'undetermined'.

Pfc. Steven F. Sirko 20, Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division Portage, Indiana.  "Died of non-combat related injuries in Muqdadiya, Iraq, on April 17, 2005.  Sirko, a 20-year-old medic, injected himself with vecuronium, an anesthetic that causes muscular paralysis, and died of an accidental overdose, according to what the military has told Lipford.

Staff Sgt. Jeffrey Jerome Sloss a member of the South Carolina National Guard, seemed fine when he was serving in Iraq. But when he came home to his job as a state trooper, he had trouble concentrating. Sloss committed suicide on May 27, 2004 -- five weeks after his return.

Staff Sgt. Christopher G. Smith, 28, of Grand Rapids, Mich.  Died Dec. 24, 2008 in Baghdad, of injuries sustained during a vehicle roll-over.  He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 16th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo. Pvt. Daren A. Smith, 19, of Helena, Mont., died  December 13, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds sustained from a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Polk, La.   The incident is under investigation.

Pvt. Gerrick D. Staff Sgt. Tara J. Smith, 33, of Nashville, N.C., died Aug. 8, 2009 in Bagram, Afghanistan, from a non-combat related incident that occurred Aug. 4 at Camp Phoenix, Afghanistan,.  She was assigned to the 50th Signal Battalion, 35>th Signal Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, N.C.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Lance Cpl. Matthew A. Snyder, of Finksburg, Md., died March 3, 2006,  from a non combat-related vehicle accident in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to Combat Service Support Group-1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Stanley J. Sokolowski, III, 26, of Ocean, N.J. died May 20, 2010 in Kirkuk, Iraq in a non-combat related incident He was assigned to Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.

Maj. Kevin H. Sonnenberg, 42, of McClure, Ohio, died June 15, 2007 when his jet crashed five miles north of Balad Air Base, Iraq. He was assigned to the 112th Fighter Squadron, Toledo, Ohio.  The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Pfc. Armando Soriano, 20, of Houston, Texas, had died on February 1, 2004 in Haditha, Iraq. Soriano was traveling in a two-vehicle convoy on a supply route when weather conditions caused his vehicle to slide off the road and roll over. He died as a result of his injuries. Soriano was assigned to the howitzer battery, 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. At the time of this release, the unit was attached to the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Alexis Soto-Ramirez 42, Walter Reed Hospital. Hanging. 1/12/2004 Then there's the case of Spc. Alexis Soto-Ramirez, who served with a unit of the Puerto Rico National Guard. Suffering from chronic back pain that became excruciating during the war, Soto-Ramirez was diagnosed with "psychiatric symptoms" that were "combat-related." He was sent to Walter Reed's "Ward 54"--the in-patient psychiatric unit--where he was supposed to get the best care the military had to offer. Lance Cpl. Nicholas J. Sovie, 20, of Ogdensburg, N. Y. WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2006.  The Defense Department announced the names of eight Marines and two airmen killed in a Feb. 17, 2006 helicopter crash while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.  All 10 died when two CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopters crashed into the Gulf of Aden near Ras Siyyan, northern Djibouti, while flying a training mission in the Godoria Range area, officials reported. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Staff Sgt. Gina R. Sparks 35, 115th Field Hospital, Warrior Brigade Drury, Montana Died of a non-combat related incident on October 4, 2004, in Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Maj. John C. Spahr, 42, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey.  Spahr died from injuries received when the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft he was piloting apparently crashed in Iraq. He was assigned to Fighter Attack Squadron 323, Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California. His unit was embarked aboard the U.S.S. Carl Vinson. Died on May 2, 2005.

Sgt. Marvin R. Sprayberry, III, 24, of Tehachapi, California. Four members of the 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany, died May 3, 2004 in Balad, Iraq, when their military vehicle left the road and flipped over in a canal.

Commander Charles K. Springle, 52, of Wilmington, N.C., died May 11, 2009 from injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident at Camp Victory, Iraq.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Pvt. Bryan N. Spry, 19, Chestertown, Maryland, died February 13, 2004 in Baghdad, Iraq, when his vehicle rolled into a water-filled ditch. Spry was assigned to Company D, 1st Battalion, 504th Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Col. Michael R. Stahlman, 45, of Chevy Chase, Md., died Oct. 5, 2008 from injuries sustained in a July 31 non-hostile incident in Anbar province, Iraq.  He was assigned to Headquarters Battalion, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif. The incident is currently under investigation.

Spc. Derek A. Stanley 20, Army  6/5/06 non-combat Afghanistan US Army - Cpl. Derek Stanley died in Salerno, Afghanistan from a non-combat related cause. 20 year old Derek Stanley was assigned to the 710th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y. The incident surrounding his death remains under investigation.

Lance Cpl. Shawn V. Starkovich, 20, of Arlington, Wash., died July 16, 2007 in Al Anbar province, Iraq. His death is under investigation.  Starkovich was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Staff Sgt. Joseph W. Stevens, 26, of Sacramento, California.  Stevens died in Mohammed Sacran, Iraq, when his Bradley Fighting Vehicle overturned. He was assigned to the 2d Battalion, 2d Infantry, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany. Died on January 24, 2005.

Lance Cpl. Jeffery S. Stevenson, 20, a Marine of Newton, N.J., died July 13, 2008 in Al Anbar Province, Iraq from a non-hostile incident.  He was a machinist with the 7th Engineers Support Battalion, 1st Marine Division, stationed in Camp Pendleton in San Diego.  His death is under investigation.  

Spc. Carla J. Stewart, 37, transportation convoy vehicle rollover, Jan. 30.

Sgt. Patrick D. Stewart, 35, of Fernley, Nevada. Stewart was assigned to the Army National Guard's 113th Aviation Regiment, Stead, Nevada. All five personnel aboard a CH-47 transport helicopter were killed when it crashed southwest of Deh Chopan, Afghanistan, on September 25, 2005. Officials reported that the aircraft was returning from a mission in support of an ongoing operation at the time of the crash. There were no reports of enemy involvement in the crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

PV2 Nolan Stites died on August 30, 2000.  Presumed suicide after being on "Unit Watch" for a prolonged period of time.  His story.

Army Ranger Kris Stonesifer, 28, Oct. 19, 2001, lived in Doylestown. He died aboard a helicopter that crashed in Pakistan the first night of the invasion of Afghanistan.

Lance Cpl. Travis M. Stottlemyer, 20, of Hatfield, Pa., died Aug. 17, 2008 as a result of a non-hostile incident in Manama, Bahrain  He was assigned to the 3rd Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team Company, Marine Corps Security Forces, Norfolk, Va.  The incident is currently under investigation.

Spc. Chrystal G. Stout, 23, of Travelers Rest, South Carolina.  Stout died in Ghazni, Afghanistan, when the CH-47 helicopter she was on crashed. She was assigned to the Army National Guard's 228th Signal Brigade, Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Maj. Michael D. Stover 43, Marine Wing Support Squadron-371, Marine Wing Support Group-37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Mansfield, Ohio. Died of a non-hostile incident in Anbar province, Iraq, on June 3, 2006.  But faced with personal problems no one could see, problems he couldn't overcome and for which he refused to seek help, Stover found his own solution. Sgt. Thomas J. Strickland, 27, of Douglasville, Georgia. Three members of the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 108th Armor Regiment, Calhoun, Georgia died on August 15, 2005, in Al Mahmudiyah, Iraq, when their HMMWV accidentally rolled over into a canal.

Spc. Thomas R. Stroh 21, strangled his wife, Brittany Stroh, 17, and son Dylan Stroh, 2, at their Fort Lewis home. He later committed suicide driving head-on into a semi truck in Oregon.

Army Cpl. Sascha Struble, 20, of Philadelphia, New York.  Struble died in Ghazni, Afghanistan, when the CH-47 helicopter he was on crashed. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry Regiment, Camp Ederle, Italy.

Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa, Fla., of injuries sustained on Apr 1 in Kabul, Afghanistan, when his HMMWV was involved in a traffic accident. Suplee was assigned to the National Guard 153rd Cavalry Squadron, Ocala, Fla.

Staff Sgt. Stephen J. Sutherland, 33, of West Deptford, New Jersey.  Sutherland died in Al Qadisiyah, Iraq, when his Stryker military vehicle accidentally rolled over. Cmdr. Adrian B. Szwec 43, Assigned to Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Chicago, Illinois.  Died in a non-combat related incident in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on April 12, 2004. 

Staff Sgt. Ayman A. Taha, 31, of Vienna, Va., died in Balad, Iraq, on Dec. 30, 2005 when he was preparing a munitions cache for demolition and the cache exploded. Taha was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Sgt. Joseph M. Staff Sgt. Kendall Thomas, 36, of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, died April 28 2004 in Baghdad, Iraq, as the result of a vehicle accident. Thomas was assigned to Battery C, 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Cpl. Michael E. Thompson, 23, of Harrah, Okla., who was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 149th Aviation, 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, Oklahoma National Guard, Lexington, Oklahoma died Sept. 18, 2008 when the CH-47 Chinook helicopter he was in went down in the vicinity of Tallil, Iraq. The incident is under investigation.

Sgt. 1st Class Duane A. Thornsbury, 30, of Bridgeport, W. Va., died Sept.12, 2009 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained during a vehicle roll-over. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group, Fort Carson, Colo.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Maj. Steven W. Thornton, 46, of Eugene, Oregon.  Thornton died in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, when he collapsed during physical training. He was assigned to Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Died on April 18, 2005.

Pfc. Brandon T. Thorsen, 22, of Trenton, Fla., died Sept. 15, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident Sept. 14 in Baghdad.  He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Sgt. Tina S. Time, 22, from Tucson, Arizona, died December 13, 2004 near Cedar, Iraq, when she was involved in a vehicle accident. Time was assigned to the Army Reserve's 208th Transportation Company, Tucson, Arizona.

Lance Cpl. Jeremy L. Tinnel, 20, of Mechanicsville, Va.  Died July 1, 2007 from a non-hostile boat accident in the Euphrates River just off the shore of Al Anbar province. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. The accident is under investigation.

Brig. Gen. Thomas L. Tinsley, the commander at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, who died in July 2008 of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Staff Sgt. Amy Seyboth Tirador, 29, died from non-combat-related injuries in Iraq on November 4, 2009. 

Sgt. 1st Class John J. Tobiason, 42, of Bloomington, Minn., died Nov. 28, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered from an incident that is currently under investigation. He was assigned to the 847th Adjutant General Battalion, 89th Regional Readiness Command, Wichita, Kan.

Master Sgt. Timothy Toney 37, Communications Company, Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Manhattan, New York, New York Died due to a non-combat related incident at Camp Wolverine, Kuwait, on March 27, 2004.

Michael Torok, 23, an Afghanistan veteran, died from a "self-inflicted" stabbing on September 5, 2005.

Spc. Juan M. Torres 25, 453rd Transportation Company, U.S. Army Reserve Houston, Texas.  Died of non-combat related injuries in Bagram, Afghanistan, on July 12, 2004.  "If you knew John, please contact me as soon as possible. He was murdered by someone in Afghanistan to cover up the illegal drugs given to soldiers by high ranking officers. Townsend, 30, of Solvang , Calif. , died Jan. 16, 2009 in Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan , of injuries sustained in a non-combat related incident.   He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg , N.C.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Staff Sgt. Philip L. Travis, 41, of Snellville, Ga. Died at Tallil Air Base, Iraq, on Dec. 2, 2005 of injuries sustained earlier that day when their truck accidentally rolled over. The soldiers were assigned to the Army National Guard's 148th Forward Support Battalion, 48th Brigade Combat Team, Forsyth, Ga. The incident is under investigation.

Sgt. James M. Treber, 24, of Imperial Beach, Calif.  The Department of Defense announced the death of three soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.  They died June 29, 2008 in Khosrow-E Sofla, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained when their vehicle rolled into a canal.  They were assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.  This incident is under investigation.

Chief Warrant Officer 4 Chester W. Troxel, 45, of Anchorage, Alaska. Troxel was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 207th Aviation Regiment, Anchorage, Alaska. died near Tal Afar, Iraq, on Jan. 7, 2006 when their UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed.

Lance Cpl. Marc L. Tucker, 24, of Pontotoc, Mississippi.  Tucker died as a result of a non-hostile vehicle accident in Asr Uranium, Iraq. He was assigned to 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Force Service Support Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to 2nd FSSG, II Marine Expeditionary Force.  Died on June 8, 2005.

Lt. Cmdr. Morgan C. Tulang, 36, of Hilo, Hawaii, died from apparent natural causes March 2, 2007, in Kuwait.  Tulang was assigned to U.S. Central Command Deployment Distribution Operations Center, Kuwait City, Kuwait.

Airman 1st Class Ashley Turner, 20, was murdered at Naval Air Station , Keflavik, Iceland on August 14, 2005.

1st Sgt. Eddie Turner, 41, of Fort Belvoir, Va., died June 22, 2010 at Camp Clark, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 626th Brigade Support Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.

Lance Cpl. Bobby L. Twitty, 20, of Bedias, Texas, died July 22, 2007 from a non-hostile vehicle accident in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Capt. Corry P. Tyler, 29, 4th Squadron, 6th U.S. Air Cavalry Regiment Georgia.  One of 14 soldiers killed when their UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter accidentally crashed while returning from a combat mission in Multaka, Iraq, on August 22, 2007.
